Defining the key terms of the project


Why this project?

 

Project objective is to create vocational training program for HR managers in social care to supports the inclusion of foreign workers in the social care sector who have difficult conditions when entering the labour market, for example due to language and cultural barriers, but also due to the lack of confidence of employers in their ability and prejudices from other employees. The project will seek to remove barriers for integration of foreign workers by preparing guidelines and recommendations, as well as training programs for managers of social care providers. The project seeks to promote equal opportunities and access to well-paid jobs for foreign workers working in social care area.


The general objectives of FWSS are to:

  • Support the inclusion of foreign workers in the social care sector who have difficult conditions when entering the labour market, for example due to language and cultural barriers, but also due to the lack of confidence of employers in their ability and prejudices from other employees.
  • Remove barriers for integration of foreign workers by preparing guidelines and recommendations, as well as training programs for managers of social care providers.
  • Promote equal opportunities and access to well-paid jobs for foreign workers working in social care area. There are number of issues and potential issues that need to be addressed in terms of employment of non-resident workers. For example language barriers, cultural barriers, prejudice faced from employer and employees, etc.


What do we aim to create in FWSS

 

  • Analysis in partner countries

Creation methodology of analysis and online questionnaire for employers in social services

Conduction of survey, structured interviews and legislative analysis

Focus group in each country over analysis outcomes

Creation of individual country report

Creation of summary report

  • Creation of guidelines and recommendations

Creation of guidelines and recommendations proposal (FESE as an experienced partner will create proposal set of guidelines and recommendations)

Focus group in each country over guidelines and recommendations proposal (Disscussion on draft of the guidelines in each participating country)

Finalisation of Guidelines and recommendations (Guidelines will be finalised after approval of relevant proposals from participating countries)

  • Design of the vocational curriculum and training program for managers, HR managers and agencies in the social sector

Creating a vocational training curriculum for management and HR in social services

Design online version of the training and uploading of the materials

Pilot verification of the full-time vocational training program in all partner countries

Feedback on pilot verification of the vocational training program and finalization of the program
